Matthias Vonken studied philosophy, mathematics and education at the University of Duisburg. Since 1998, he works in the field of vocational education and further training, specialised in research in competence theory and development, human resource development and labour market training. Currently he works at the University of Erfurt as leader of the Education/Further Training/Labour Market Working Group at the Faculty of Education. Nguyen Quang Viet did his graduate and postgraduate studies at Hanoi National University of Education, Vietnam.

She studied the implementation of the different roles of ICT in school curricula since the early 1980s. Voogt has many publications, amongst others in computers and education and computers in human behaviour and is coeditor of the International Handbook of Information Technology in Primary and Secondary Education. Felix Walker is assistant professor (junior professor) at the Institute of Didactics of Technology at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern.
